“The doctors leaving the area is about so much more than just abortions, or anything related to them. Women's healthcare can save lives.”
About a year ago, I was struggling with severe periods that literally didn't go away, they lasted for over a year, every single day. I went to the doctor looking for help. They tried birth control and different medications, but that didn't help. So, I tried changing doctors and found the same results.
It took months and months of pain and symptoms to finally be referred to Sandpoint Women's Health. Finally, after waiting a long time, I was seen, and the doctor gave me some recommendations for different procedures. I did cancer screening, among other things. Ultimately, I had a hysterectomy.
I found out two months after going home from surgery that my doctor would be leaving. If I would have had to wait any longer, I wouldn't have been able to have my surgery. It could have resulted in ovarian cancer, or who knows what else. The doctors leaving the area is about so much more than just abortions, or anything related to them. Women's healthcare can save lives.
