Overturned: Idaho Stories of Abortion Care Denied

Episode 1

“What state IS willing to help me?”

When Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022 and Idaho's total ban on abortion went into effect, our state suddenly became a dangerous place to be pregnant.

Here, three Idaho women share their stories of pregnancy, fatal fetal diagnoses, and the compassionate abortion care that was denied them in their home state. In instances like these, abortion bans don't act to preserve life but perpetuate pain instead.

This is the story of what happens when the right to abortion is overturned.

Overturned: Episode 2

"I NEED you to get to Salt Lake as soon as possible."

When Desi and Morgan Ballis faced a heartbreaking pregnancy complication, Idaho’s restrictive abortion laws forced them to travel out of state, turning an already devastating experience into an unimaginable trauma.
